Adjunct, Curriculum and Instruction
About
I raise two children and try to live a semi-deprofessionalized life in the community. At Concordia University Chicago, I teach adjunct courses such as Language and Linguistics, Second Language Learning Theories, and Bilingual Assessment.
In my research I attempt to connect these two worlds, the world of linguistics/applied linguistics and community/ecology. Through the discourses of ecolinguistics, ecofeminism, place-based education, and the critiques of Ivan Illich, I attempt to connect de-professionalized motherhood with academic writing.
